EDAM Group Named In Sunday Times 100 Best Companies

Here at EDAM, we have been named one of the ‘Best Companies’ to work for in the UK. The accolade, which is awarded by the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies scheme saw us receive a coveted One Star status.

The rating concerns itself with the engagement of people working within an organisation and acknowledges EDAM as having outstanding levels within our workforce.

We scored highly in multiple categories, including My Team, Leadership and Giving Something Back.

The Best Companies scheme, which is run in conjunction with the Sunday Times believes ‘an engaged workforce is more motivated and productive because people take pride in what they are doing and have faith in those around them. This leads to better working relationships, greater collaboration and ultimately a more successful organisation.’

The judging process is rigorous and included a survey of our staff, who were asked questions relating to life at EDAM. Team members were encouraged to provide honest, anonymous input to help determine the result and also enable us to act upon the findings.

Steve Turner, CEO, said: “Positive employee engagement has always been a priority here at EDAM so we are delighted to be awarded a One Star rating by Best Companies and to be listed in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for. We are moving through a continued period of growth and ensuring all teams within the company adapt and grow with us and our vision is essential.

“We work hard to create a strong and engaged team, for the mutual benefit of our people and our customers. We have a truly outstanding team who are committed to our company and our clients,” Steve continued.

Engaging and valuing our staff is key to ensuring the business maintains its market-leading levels of customer service – especially important as we work towards our 2020 Vision. Keeping people at the heart of all we do with focus on our core values, including innovation, respect, integrity, passion and fun, whilst always working as one team ensures both happy employees and customers.

Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies Founder and CEO Jonathan Austin said: “I would like to congratulate EDAM Group on their achievement of a One Star Accreditation status and being named as one of the UK’s Best Companies to Work for. Best Companies have been producing the Accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. We are proud that organisations like EDAM focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that they’re a best company to work for.”

Award Successes 2019
Throughout the year our endeavour to produce the best customer service experience, to be a fantastic business partner, and just be a great company in general has seen us win a number of awards. We started the year with a bang back in February, bagging the SILVER award for ‘Best Customer Experience Training’ at the UK Employee Experience Awards. EDAM Group Awards 2019 Then in April we followed it up by WINNING the ‘Customer Feedback Strategy’ category at the UK Customer Service Excellence Awards and also received a Highly Commended for ‘Investment in Company Culture’. The awards didn’t end there – October saw us take home the SILVER award at the UK Customer Experience Awards for ‘Customer Experience Training’ and then we scored a brace in November, picking up the GOLD award for ‘Business Change or Transformation’ at the UK Business Awards, and gaining recognition locally WINNING the MEN ‘Business of the Year Award 2019’. WOW! While we didn’t win at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards, we were proud to be shortlisted in two categories; the ‘Scale Up Business of the Year’ and ‘Customer Centric Organisation’ – an amazing achieving considering the vast number of entrants – 1100 in total! We were equally honoured to be shortlisted for ‘Business Partner of the Year’ at the Insurance Times Awards as this gave us a great deal of visibility in a sector which is integral to our business. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all of our team for their hard work this year as these achievements would not be possible without their support.
